Year 5 swimming sessions are starting for Year 5 members of Class 12 (Dosbarth Merthyr Tydfil - Mrs Cook) and some Year 5 members of LRB on Monday 14th September.

Class 11 and the other Year 5 members of LRB will be going in the second half of the year.

Parents/carers signed a consent form last academic year for your child to attend, so there's no need to sign anything this time, but on Monday your child will need to bring a swimming costume (please only one piece swimming costumes or swimming shorts/trunks, no bikinis), goggles (if they would like to, these are not necessary), a towel and a snack to have when they come out of the pool if they'd like to bring one.

They will be attending for 10 sessions between now and the Christmas holidays each Monday afternoon.

The cost for these sessions is £5.75 per session. This is for the coach to take the children to and from Cwmbran Stadium and the swimming lesson itself with Torfaen swim instructors.  6 sessions are available on CivicaPay now, you can pay for all 6 in advance (£34.50), make block payments or weekly (please ensure it is paid by the morning of each Monday).  Without payment at least for each weekly session your child will not be able to attend.  Any missed sessions will be refunded to you.

The payment option should be available to you now within CivicaPay - https://education.civicapayments.co.uk/

If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
