Dear parents/carers,

There is a Christmas school trip on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 to Rhondda Heritage Park for pupils in Class 1 - Dosbarth Caerdydd (Miss Keenan), Class 2 - Dosbarth Bala (Mrs Payne), Class 3 - Dosbarth Abertawe (Mrs Worgan) and Class 5 - Dosbarth Tredegar (Mrs Strong) to visit Santa's Toy Mine.  This trip will take place during school time.

Please note this trip is a different venue to the venue on the diary dates. Unfortunately we had to have a change of venue due to Brecon Mountain Railway costing too much and not being viable as a trip option.

The cost of this trip is £15.50 per child with support from the Friends of Pontnewydd and is payable via CivicaPay.  Please log into your child's account and make the payment by clicking on the trip.  Please make the payment by Wednesday 26th November 2025 - https://education.civicapayments.co.uk/ 
This is set as a variable payment, you can make a deposit of £5 and then pay the rest as and when you can (the minimum payment each time is £1) - the final balance should be received by 26.11.25.We've set it as a variable payment as we know this is an expensive time of year and some parents have more than 1 child in the Foundation Phase to pay for.

For those in Reception or new pupils who haven't previously registered you should have received an email last week from Civica inviting you to join (if you haven't had one, please check your junk email).

We will return after lunch so please either provide a packed lunch from home or you can order a packed lunch in advance from school. Please indicate if you'd like a free school meal packed lunch provided for your child on the form below.

No spending money is needed for this trip.
